Profile: I have been teaching General and Academic English overseas for about 14 years and I joined the CELE team in Nottingham Ningbo in September 2005. Prior to this I worked as the English Programme Co-ordinator in a women’s college in the United Arab Emirates. I have worked mostly in the Middle East and South East Asia. Before deciding to work abroad I taught English Literature and European History in Ireland. My academic interests include the influence of culture and social context on language learning and teacher development. My qualifications include a BA in English and History, a PGCE TEFL and an MEd in TESOL.
