Jeanne C. Baer
| Profile: Jeanne C. Baer grew up in French – Swiss family in English-speaking Canada. She came to Switzerland 30 years ago, lived in Lausanne and Neuchâtel and has lived in Zurich for the last 10 years. She has both the RSA Certificate and the RSA Dip. TEFLA . She has been an approved CELTA trainer since 1995 and has trained teachers in Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland over the last 15 years. Jeanne has been involved in almost every aspect of English Language Teaching as a Foreign Language as a teacher, teacher trainer, director of studies, publisher’s representative for Switzerland, marketing manager, PR officer and deputy head of centre. More recently as Academic Director she was in charge of teaching quality assurance for a team of about 70 teachers in the Language Department (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian) and the 12 CLIL/Immersion teachers in an IGCSE & A- levels prep. school in Switzerland. She is now involved in writing materials adapting traditional teacher development courses to e-learning in both blended and online versions. |
